The new school year is set to begin Wednesday morning for several local communities.
People in western Massachusetts will continue to make their voices heard. Several protests are planned for this weekend. Nearly 10 locally, protesters will gather for rallies and marches in Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden counties on Saturday and Sunday.
While many protests in the U.S. are considered largely peaceful, the unrest has led to violence and looting on several occasions. Business owners have already been struggling with the pandemic and are now worried about losing more business.
