I was shocked to learn via my Twitter feed that Anja Niedringhaus was shot dead today at an Afghanistan checkpoint. Besides her award winning photography I will remember Anja for her indelibly good humored and tanactic spirit – even in tragic circumstances. My condolences go out to her family and friends – Anja portrays how I feel right now with her photograph: I will miss you Anja, thank you for the many joyous moments you brought to me – May you Rest In Peace – Kitty.

So far I think I have depicted what is generally accepted as historical and archeological facts, with a couple of my own theories about Eden, thrown in. However, personally I find there are some real puzzles, concerning what is presented in the accepted story.
So far in the World History series we have covered what is commonly termed as pre-history. See – Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. The definition of pre-history is the period before written recorded history and based on research, archaeology and legend. Recorded History dates to the invention of writing – therefore I think it is appropriate to start this section with the Sumerians who are historically recognized as the first people to use writing in the true sense.
